Joe Biden was raised a Roman Catholic. As a young man he contemplated becoming a priest. He attended a Catholic high school named Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware. Biden calls St. Patrick’s Church in Wilmington, Delaware his home congregation. Biden met Pope John Paul II four times and attended his 2005 funeral.
