According to the New Testament, Jesus of Nazareth asked his disciples, "Who do you say that I am?" Since his followers went on to found what is today the dominant religion of the western world, millions of people and religious groups have also asked themselves this question.

The significance of this ancient Jew named Jesus is officially recognized not only in traditional Christianity, but also by religious movements that grew out of Christianity and even in non-Christian religions such as Islam, the Baha'i Faith, and Cao Dai. He is also respected by many Buddhists, Hindus, some Jews, and even many atheists.
